I now have OpenSim up and running on my Vista laptop. It is an interesting project. However I am planning on writing a book about the subject. I need to go back and set it up all over again while documenting and taking screen shots. This may be a good time to change the platform up a bit. I was considering building a server and installing Windows Home Server on it. I certainly need a server at home. We have a wide variety of Windows and OS X machines on our home network. A central backup point is needed.
Does anybody out there have experience with Home Server in general or running OpenSim on it in particular? I’d love to hear from you.
